My Journey

Before opening Take Root Wellness, I worked as a home-based therapist, supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, crisis, and significant life challenges. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the many ways trauma can shape our relationships, identities, and sense of self.

Over time, I began noticing that many people understood their struggles intellectually but still felt disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in familiar patterns. I became increasingly interested in approaches that included not only the mind, but also the body, nervous system, and deeper aspects of the healing journey.

That curiosity led me to explore Internal Family Systems, trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, somatic approaches, breathwork, and spiritual practices. What I discovered was that healing often happens when we move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin creating safety, connection, and self-trust from the inside out.

That realization ultimately inspired me to create Take Root Wellness, a practice where therapy honors the mind, body, and spirit while helping people reconnect with who they are beneath the survival strategies they've carried for so long.

What Makes My Approach Different

Many of my clients arrive with a deep understanding of their struggles. They've been to therapy, read the books, explored spirituality, and worked hard to heal.

What they often need isn't more insight. They need an approach that helps the mind, body, and nervous system work together.

My work integrates traditional psychotherapy with trauma informed yoga, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, nervous system regulation, and holistic healing practices. Together, we'll explore the patterns that have shaped your life while building practical tools that help you feel more grounded, connected, and authentic.

The goal is not simply to understand why you're struggling. The goal is to create meaningful, lasting change that can be felt in your relationships, your body, and your everyday life.

Why This Work Matters To Me

I believe healing happens when people no longer have to hide who they are.

Many of the people I work with have spent years adapting to environments that didn't feel safe, learning to prioritize other people's needs while losing touch with their own. Watching someone reconnect with themselves, trust their intuition, set healthy boundaries, and feel at home in their own life is one of the greatest privileges of my work.

There is nothing more meaningful to me than helping people discover that they are not broken and never were.

Professional Credentials

I believe it is important to continue growing as both a therapist and a person. In addition to my clinical experience, I have pursued training in trauma, mindfulness, yoga, somatic approaches, and holistic healing practices to better support the individuals I serve.
