Heal from trauma, reconnect with yourself, and move beyond survival mode.
Trauma-informed therapy for neurodivergent, spiritual, and 2SLGBTQIA+ adults throughout Michigan.
It’s time for a different approach to healing.
You've spent so much of your life adapting that you've lost touch with yourself.
If these words resonate with you, I hope this brief introduction gives you a sense of who I am and how I approach therapy.
Maybe you've become an expert at reading the room before anyone else does. You know how to make other people comfortable, avoid conflict, and keep things moving—even when you're exhausted inside.
You might find yourself wondering why life seems harder for you than it does for everyone else. Why relationships feel complicated. Why you're always trying to figure out who you need to be instead of feeling comfortable being yourself.
Perhaps you've spent years masking parts of who you are. Maybe you've learned to disconnect from your body, ignore your needs, or push through pain because that's what you've always had to do.
On the outside, you may seem capable and put together. On the inside, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or like you're carrying a weight that never fully goes away.
Maybe you've tried therapy before and left feeling like no one truly understood the way your mind works.
Maybe you've read the books, listened to the podcasts, practiced mindfulness, or spent years trying to heal on your own—and you're still finding yourself stuck in familiar patterns.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Together, we can work toward helping you feel more grounded, build authentic relationships, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels less like surviving and more like living.
So why do you still feel stuck?
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, insightful, and deeply committed to growth. They've read the books, gone to therapy, explored spirituality, and worked hard to heal. Yet they still find themselves struggling with anxiety, people pleasing, perfectionism, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty trusting themselves.
The lasting effects of complex trauma can remain long after the original experiences are over. When you've spent years adapting in order to feel safe, accepted, or loved, those patterns can become deeply ingrained. What once helped you survive may now be keeping you from fully living.
Healing isn't just about understanding what happened. It's about helping your mind, body, and nervous system experience something different. When safety, connection, and self-trust begin to grow, the need for old survival strategies starts to fade.
The fact that you're struggling doesn't mean you're broken. It may simply mean your system learned exactly what it needed to do to survive.
Hi, I’m Jonathan
Many of the people who find their way to my practice have spent years trying to heal. They've been to therapy, read the books, explored spirituality, and worked hard to understand themselves. Yet they still find themselves struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, religious wounds, chronic pain, or a persistent feeling that something isn't fully resolved.
I specialize in helping people move beyond insight alone and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is shaped by both professional training and lived experience, integrating psychotherapy with trauma-informed yoga, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, nervous system healing, and holistic practices.
As someone who is spiritual, neurodivergent, and queer, I understand how identity, culture, and life experiences can shape the healing journey. I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me in the woods, drinking tea, playing drums, copper wire wrapping crystals, backpacking, or spending time with my cats.
I help people who are Spiritual, 2S-LGBTQIA+, and Neurodivergent heal so that they can:
• Trust themselves instead of constantly second-guessing every decision.
• Build relationships that feel authentic, connected, and emotionally safe.
• Understand and heal the effects of complex trauma rather than continuing to be controlled by old survival patterns.
• Feel more at home in their bodies and less overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or emotional flooding.
• Set healthy boundaries without guilt, shame, or fear of rejection.
• Reconnect with parts of themselves that have been hidden, rejected, or forgotten.
• Move from people pleasing and masking toward greater authenticity and self-expression.
• Develop practical tools for nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and self-compassion.
• Integrate spirituality into their healing journey in ways that feel grounding, empowering, and aligned with their values.
My approach integrates psychotherapy, nervous system healing, mindfulness, breathwork, movement, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other holistic practices tailored to your unique needs. Together we'll explore the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools that support lasting change.
Those who have worked with me have said things like:

-
"Jonathan has helped me be comfortable with my thoughts that I had spent years trying to distract from. It feels calm inside for the first time in my life."
-
"I am learning how to embrace my neurodivergence and celebrate the ways trauma has shaped me rather than feel defeated like I did in the past.
Healing Is Possible
You don't have to spend the rest of your life surviving.
The patterns that once helped you cope, protect yourself, or stay safe may no longer be serving you. Anxiety, people pleasing, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, self-doubt, and disconnection are not character flaws. They are often the understandable adaptations of a nervous system that learned how to survive difficult experiences.
Healing doesn't mean forgetting the past or becoming a different person. It means developing a different relationship with yourself, your story, and the parts of you that have been carrying so much for so long.
If you're ready to explore what healing could look like for you, I'd be honored to support you. Together, we'll work toward creating a life that feels more grounded, connected, authentic, and fully your own.

This is a complex question to answer, as therapy is going to take different lengths of time for each person. I have provided just a few sessions to some, while others need a few months to a year, while for others it is life long in some capacity. We will work together to determine a plan that fits your personal needs. You are worth investing in.

While I don’t personally believe that one can always become “fully healed” I have helped hundreds of people get to a place where they felt a spark inside that allowed them to live a higher quality of life. Unlike traditional therapy that just addresses the cognitive, my approaches also address body and spirit, helping you to more deeply heal from your experiences.
